Working with LKB Architecture

WHO WE ARE

LKB Architecture was started by Lisa Bixler after 15 years of working for firms in Denver, CO and Calgary, AB Canada. When her family relocated to Houston in 2013, she decided to put down business roots here as well. Lisa is a licensed architect, LEED AP BD+C and Certified Aging in Place Specialist. She has a bachelor`s degree from Bucknell University, studied design at the Cooper Union and earned a master`s in architecture from the University of Colorado. Lisa has worked in commercial, institutional and residential architecture, and her first goal has always been designing spaces that make people feel good.

Our firm provides specialized knowledge in the areas of justice facilities, urban infill, and multifamily housing. We also have a passion for creative problem solving in senior living and universal design/aging-in-place.

PRINCIPAL

"QUALITY IS NOT AN ACT - IT IS A HABIT"

This quote by Aristotle is the foundation of our firm’s culture, influencing our behavior and decisions among the team and within the community. We aim to deliver quality, value and integrity to all of our clients, within any scope or budget.

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT

Our approach:

It is only after listening to and understanding what each person values, from clients down to the end users, that we can create the best solutions.

We strongly believe that the success of any AEC project is largely driven by the ability of the various disciplines to function as a team. Understanding that each one contributes a unique and necessary skill set, and that each person has something to learn from another, we place high value on fostering respect and harmony throughout the process.
